We Educate.

Our Mission

Because the Education of Women brings greater health, wealth, and security to communities, it is the mission of ICSF to provide financial support to scholars in developing communities worldwide.

Who We Are

ICSF is an autonomous body whose 18 directors are elected from the ecumenical membership of Church Women United in Southern California/Southern Nevada. All directors serve without compensation and volunteer their time and talents to achieve the goals of ICSF.

What We Do

Since its founding in 1955, ICSF has made college and university education a reality for hundreds of women and men. Doctors, nurses, teachers, ministers, and leaders trained in many other helping professions are enabled to serve in their own countries and abroad.

Our Impact

“It has been a struggle to stay in school, but my mother told me to fight for what I want, and I have. I want to help young people from my culture to make it through high school and get to college, as I have. This is not common for girls or boys from my village. You granted me this help, and I can now see my dream of teaching at an advanced level coming true. I thank you with all my heart. May God bless you, every one!”
